چکیده

A thorough investigation has been made to obtain SQUID device parameters and properties, and the optimization of the latter for the application of logics gates. SQUID OR, AND gates have been designed theoretically using the optimized techniques. Our concept of turn-on delay has been applied for critically ascertaining the switching speed of these logic gates. The dynamic response of the logics gates have been obtained by computersimulation. This paper will help for the scientists to have a complete understanding of SQUID logic gates before they are fabricated experimentally to obtain better results.

Novel Defect Terminolgy Beside Evaluation And Design Fault Tolerant Logic Gates In Quantum-Dot Cellular Automata

Quantum dot Cellular Automata (QCA) is one of the important nano-level technologies for implementation of both combinational and sequential systems. QCA have the potential to achieve low power dissipation and operate high speed at THZ frequencies. However large probability of occurrence fabrication defects in QCA, is a fundamental challenge to use this emerging technology. Because of these vari...

Metastability in a nanobridge-based hysteretic dc SQUID embedded in a superconducting microwave resonator

We study the metastable response of a highly hysteretic dc superconducting quantum interference device (SQUID) made of a niobium loop interrupted by two nanobridges. We excite the SQUID with an alternating current and with direct magnetic flux, and find different stability zones forming diamond-like structures in the measured voltage across the SQUID. When such a SQUID is embedded in a transmis...

Novel excitation coils for non-destructive evaluation of non-magnetic metallic structures by high-Tc dc SQUID

A non-destructive evaluation (NDE) system was set up in our laboratory. A high-Tc dc superconducting quantum interference device (dc SQUID) made from YBa2Cu3O7−δ thin film on a 24◦ bicrystal SrTiO3 substrate was adopted as the magnetic flux sensor. Novel excitation coils and a balance circuitry were proposed and employed for evaluation of multilayer aluminium structure with artificial slits in ...

Optically-Pumped Magnetometers for MEG

Optically-pumped magnetometers (OPMs) have seen rapid progress over the last decade in terms of performance and technology development. As highly sensitive room-temperature magnetometers they present several advantages over superconducting quantum interference device (SQUID) sensors, such as the possibility for conformal geometries and low-maintenance systems. We review the state of the art and...

Optimization of Quantum Cellular Automata Circuits by Genetic Algorithm

Quantum cellular automata (QCA) enables performing arithmetic and logic operations at the molecular scale. This nanotechnology promises high device density, low power consumption and high computational power. Unlike the CMOS technology where the ON and OFF states of the transistors represent binary information, in QCA, data is represented by the charge configuration. The primary and basic devic...
